1. Configure your Chat Widget
Open Settings → Widgets → Chat Widget and adjust:
- Show Platform — Not recommended: most platforms prohibit displaying their logos. Disable this to avoid TOS issues.
- Show Platform Color — use this instead: each platform is outlined in its brand color without a logo.
- Show Platform Indicator — toggles a small color dot next to each message.
- Show Avatar — include viewer avatars for extra personality.
- Show Gifts — display TikTok gift alerts inline.
Below, pick your Chat theme, then set:
- Chat height (e.g. “80%”) to control vertical space
- Scaling (e.g. “100%”) to fit within your scene
2. Embed in OBS
- Click the Copy widget button — the URL is copied to your clipboard.
- In OBS, add a new Browser Source and paste the URL into the
URL
field. - Set the source’s width/height to match your widget dimensions (e.g. 1300×345 px for Top Likers, or your chosen size for chat).
- Click OK — your chat overlay now appears in your scene.
3. Test live with hotkeys
Once the widget is embedded, use our Keyboard Shortcuts to simulate messages, gifts and subscriptions in real time:
- Alt + Shift + 1–4: test YouTube/Twitter/TikTok/Trovo chat messages
- Alt + Shift + 5: simulate a TikTok gift
- Alt + Shift + 6: simulate a TikTok subscription
- Alt + M: toggle voiceover
- Alt + H: toggle widget visibility
💡 Pro Tip: For a professional look and to stay within platform rules, disable Show Platform and rely on color-only indicators — no logos required!
